Matt McCabe (he, him, his) serves as the associate director of Residential Education in the Department of Housing and Residential Life (HRL) at the University of Miami. In his role, Matt oversees all academic, programmatic, first-year and assessment initiatives across HRL. Much of Matt’s role involves guiding UM’s Residential College program and serving as the primary administrative partner to the Residential Faculty. Matt also oversees the Residential College’s First Year Fellow program, a group of residential student leaders that serve as academic peer mentors to first-year students. Matt’s prior experience involves working in more traditional hall director roles in Residential Colleges at University of Miami and Vanderbilt University. He has his B.S. degree in Psychology from the University of Miami and his MA. Ed. H.D. from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
