Dr. Bryan Austin is the associate director for Residential Academic Initiatives at Purdue University. The functional areas within Residential Academic Initiatives include Learning Communities, Faculty Fellows, Faculty in Residence, and the Executive in Residence program. Bryan is particularly interested in creating collegiate residential environments which include mentorship and experiential learning with successful alumni. Bryan is currently developing a live-in model for the Executive in Residence program based on best practices from Residential Colleges. Other areas of academic interest include learning community typologies and related assessment measures.
